Supporting Charities, Fostering Literary Talent
and
Publishing Unforgettable Stories
Our Story
Pilcrow Books is a publishing imprint in North East England, run by me, Abbie Rutherford. A diagnosis of ME in 2014 had a life-altering impact that resulted in the loss of my career as a social worker. Following many, often difficult, years of adjustment and learning how to manage my illness, I trained as an editor with the CIEP.
For a number of years, I've toyed with the idea of publishing an anthology to raise money for an ME charity. Thanks to the experience I've gained through my career as an editor and the skills I've developed in my work with a leading independent publisher, that time has finally arrived.

Our Mission
Pilcrow Books publish anthologies of stories written by established and emerging writers. Thirteen Deadly Intentions, Pilcrow Books' first anthology features fiction from bestselling authors and authors who haven't previously been published.
My mission is to champion writing talent while raising funds for charitable causes.
